What is a Digipak?

A digipak is a cardboard sleeve used as packaging for CD, it is used to promote and protect the product. It will normally include a book containing he lyrics, musical information and acknowledgements. The CD is placed in another sleeve in the digipak.

The album artwork, inside graphics and booklet graphics noramlly have a running theme, which could reclate to the name of the album or artist, or something random.

The digipak that I will be creating, will consist of the a CD case and a magazine advert for the CD. When designing it, I will take into account my target audience, as well as the genre and the style of designs that accompany that genre. I will also create designs for Facebook cover photos and Twitter backgrounds. Here are some examples of CD designs and adverts that Have inspired me.
